Born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, Libby is a street artist currently based in New York. She graduated from Philadelphia University with a degree in fashion. At the age of 20, she decided to study filmmaking and attended Hunter College, earning a degree in filmmaking. She later aspired to become an actor, but after many twists and turns, she established her own unique artistic style and prioritized expressing herself through art as an artist. Libby\u0026#39;s large-headed, small-mouthed female figure, "Phoebe New York," is her alter ego. Phoebe is a sarcastic, slightly angry character who exudes love and wisdom. She constantly considers her place in society and the world, quietly expressing her thoughts to the world. Libby recalls her feelings at the time and later expresses her own vulnerability and raw emotions through Phoebe. Her works, which contain messages such as "Fear Nothing" and "Never Quit," are born from a strong heart that has overcome the brutal trauma she experienced in her childhood. Her works are made from imperfect materials that have been owned and handled by others, such as vintage photographs, magazine clippings, used books, and record jackets. Elements from various eras, from evocatives of the past to timeless objects, overlap, and this combination of "time" is reborn as Phoebe. The beauty that exudes from her works can be compared to the lives we each lead.
