AND COLLECTION Contemporary Art is pleased to announce the holding of YOICHIRO ANDO's solo exhibition "Re:ORIGIN" at ART HUB NAGOYA in Matsuzakaya Nagoya.

YOICHIRO ANDO has produced numerous works across a variety of fields, taking as their subject the fundamental emotions of human beings. While advances in technology have made our daily lives more convenient, we are also living in an age where visualized information is heavily inundated. In today's digital society, we are made to feel a lack of empathy, the ability to understand instinctive human emotions. In many of his works, the eyes, which are responsible for emotional expression, are hidden, expressing the idea that what we see with our eyes is not always the truth, and the importance of focusing on the true essence of everyday life without being trapped by preconceived notions.

Through his long career, he has cultivated delicate depictive skills and rich creativity, establishing a wide range of expressions. In 2022, he held a solo exhibition in Tokyo, changing his artist name to YOICHIRO ANDO and embarking on a new creative journey. This exhibition will be YOICHIRO ANDO's first solo exhibition in Sakae, Nagoya, his base of production and the origin of his artistic activities.

The exhibition will connect the artist's past and present, spanning works from his early days to his latest works, which were created after various encounters and experiences. Above all, it holds a special meaning for the artist to have the exhibition held in a place that holds deep meaning for his creations.
