Established in 2016 in the Omotesando district of Tokyo, AND COLLECTION Contemporary Art is a gallery dedicated to contemporary art. Based in Omotesando, where fashion, design, architecture, and urban culture intersect, we have curated and hosted exhibitions featuring artists from all over the world. Our gallery showcases artists who transcend boundaries of generation, region, and artistic discipline, presenting diverse forms of expression that go beyond conventional frameworks of art. Through these activities, we connect artworks with viewers, collectors, and society, sharing the diverse perspectives and values offered by contemporary art with audiences both in Japan and abroad.

For this art fair, we present the exhibition "The Shape of the Unseen”. Through the work of four artists who give form to the invisible, we explore the diverse ways in which "visualization" manifests in the contemporary world.

Yoichiro Otani, who evokes imagery from sequences of words; |

Soichi Yamaguchi, who uncovers the internal structure of painting and the traces of its formation;

Takahiro Yumisashi, who crystallizes inner states and the presence of anxiety into tangible forms;

François Bel, who encapsulates moments of time and consumption.

While utilizing different techniques, each artist’s work offers an opportunity to engage with emotions, structures, time, and meanings that often elude our everyday perception.
By tracing the layers and atmospheres lying beneath what is visible, this exhibition invites visitors to renew their perspective on reality itself.
