“TIME is limited, make the most. SPACE is infinite, anything is possible.”
Make the most of limited time, and infinite space makes anything possible.
His works capture the time of thoughts and emotions hidden within himself, and while accepting stimuli from the outside world, he converts these moments into text, further abstracts them, and captures them in his works.
At the same time, it embodies a signpost for finding meaning in life as an artist and forging new paths in a beautiful yet chaotic and unknown world that is constantly changing.
For this solo exhibition at both locations, the Osaka location will have the theme of "TIME" and the Tokyo location will have the theme of "SPACE," and works will be created under the title "TIME AND SPACE."
"TIME"
The exhibition is centered around black and white works based on Bisco Smith's distinctive aesthetic, and if we liken this exhibition to a measurement of the two locations, it is the beginning of everything and a lyric poem.
"SPACE"
Using a three-colour palette of black, white and metallic, the work evokes change as a flash of light, while simultaneously projecting a mirror image of the past.
His work is closely connected to his roots as a graffiti writer and music creator.
His creativity, motivation and positive thinking encourage him, and the words he creates have the potential to provoke emotions in the viewer .
"The past is written, the future is full of unknown possibilities. We live by embracing the present."
His words suggest the importance of facing reality and pursuing one's own potential.
